Last Friday (30th September), we held a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the conference centre, North Mersey Business Centre. Free tea and coffee were kindly supplied by NMBC. The charity was chosen by Steph, as it is a cause close to her. Michelle put her home baking skills to work, to provide all of the baked goods, that were sold for donations.
The day was a lot of fun, with most of the baked goods being sold and a number of people coming along to support us. This in spite of the absolutely horrendous weather on the day. Available to enjoy for donations were (amongst other stuff): pineapple upside down cake, cupcakes, lemon & raspberry sponge cakes and the stars of the show, Biscoff cheesecake, apple pie made with fresh apples from Michelle's own trees and Kelvin's giant CK flying saucers.
The day was a great success, with us raising a solid total of £312.60 for Macmillan Cancer Support. *Edit 18.10.22: Big thanks to Dave Hancock from 24/7 in Leicester for his (cake free!) donation, raising our final total to £350.*
Michelle and Steph would like to thank the following for their company and generous donations:
Carolyn Wrench (Dawsons Vans)
Musker & Garrett
Isocal Electricians
GGRS Energie
Flourish and Succeed
Our staff and their families
Below are a few pictures taken on the day. Once again, thanks to everyone who supported us and we look forward to hopefully doing it all again next year!
